At 9:45, I attended the Armed Forces Day flag-raising event at West Lindsey District Council, which was well attended. Cadets and former serving councillors were present, and the ceremony was grand overall.
I then headed to Sudbrooke at 11 a.m. to meet a resident group. This group is trying to improve the green areas around it, and I support it. On the way, I received a call from a Scothern resident who needed help.
After meeting with the group of residents, I visited the owner of the Shop in Sudbrooke to discuss a complaint raised by a neighbour.
Fifteen minutes later, I went to Scothern to see the person who rang me and discuss their query.
I have met over 20 people today from diverse backgrounds, each with unique stories and experiences. I’m grateful to be able to be here to listen and support where I can. What a great day off work!
