News

14 November 2025
I chaired the St George’s governors’ meeting, hearing positive news on rising enrolment and reviewing attendance data across a diverse pupil community. Governors were invited to consider strategies to support pupils. The school also welcomed two Afghan families, highlighting resilience and the importance of fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for all children.

I attended the Scothern Parish Council meeting, congratulated the newly elected Chair and Vice‑Chair, and reported on recent work, including support for Scothern News, Beck cleaning, and progress on the Emergency Plan. Earlier, I met local representatives to discuss the Flower and Produce Show Trophy and future grant opportunities.
3 July 2024
I began the day at the Armed Forces Day flag‑raising ceremony before meeting residents in Sudbrooke and later supporting a Scothern resident. After speaking with more than twenty people, I reflected on the privilege of listening, helping, and working with a community that cares deeply about its place and people.

19 October 2024
I visited Scothern to meet Parish Clerk Lisa Brooks‑Shield and discuss progress on relocating and restoring the War Memorial. I also covered Scothern News, the emergency plan, parish responsibilities, and local finances. It was a productive morning, rounded off with thanks to Scothern Nurseries and plans to return soon
31 December 2023
I reflected on a transformative 2023, marked by a new leadership role in government, supportive colleagues, and starting a Coaching apprenticeship. Being unexpectedly elected District Councillor and contributing to St George’s Ofsted inspection were standout moments. Grateful for the organisations I supported, I look to 2024 with hope and purpose.
